My Favorite Firefox Extensions

A list of extensions that I add whenever I install a fresh Firefox build.

Firefox... it would be my favorite web browser any way for so many reasons, but the extensions make it indispensible!

Here's a brief list of my favorites, in approximate order of essentialness:

Search Keys - Navigate search results using the keyboard only
Adblock Plus - Filters ads from web pages
Adblock Filterset.G Updater - Weekly updates of the latest ad rules
PasswordMaker - Excellent password management system based on cryptographic hashes
Flashblock - Block all flash objects (often lots of ads!) until you click
PrefBar - Quickly access common preferences, including proxy on/off
BugMeNot - Automatically fetch fake account login for nagging web sites
Download Statusbar - Improves download usability
DownThemAll! - Mass downloader utility
Gmail Notifier - See number of unread Gmail messages
Fasterfox - Supposedly increases Firefox performance
Aardvark - Handy tools for manipulating pages before printing or saving
Live HTTP Headers - Essential for debugging your web apps
Google Send to Phone - Convenient interface for sending SMS messages
Google Toolbar for Firefox - Essential Google goodies
Google Notebook - Store notes for later use
Greasemonkey - Customize any web site with your own script
Customize Google - Lots of good enhancements for Google apps
IE View Lite - Menu option to open current page in IE
Bookmark Backup - Backs up master Firefox bookmark file in case of accidents (built in feature FF 1.5+)
FireBug - Shows Javascript errors in a very elegant way
AutoForm - A tool for automatic form filling
Venkman Javascript Debugger - Essential for any AJAX development
Reveal - Shows mini previews for each open tab
Delicious - Seamless integration with del.icio.us web site
Tab Mix Plus - Some nice enhancements to tabbed browsing (also provides functionality of "Unread Tabs" and crash recovery)
Drag de Go - Add mouse gestures to text and links
Resizeable Textarea - just like the name says
Mouse Gestures - Lots of handy mouse speeds up, like right-left click to go back a page
