Treatment CostsOverviewFortunately I have great health insurance and am incurring minimal out-of-pocket expenses. I have noticed though that the underlying costs of cancer treatment can be quite high. Therefore I have decided to track and document the costs associated with my treatment. Please be aware that costs vary widely depending on location (I live just outside Dallas, Texas), health coverage, and health providers. Also financial assistance is available from various government and non-profit organizations. Don't reject the right treatment just because it is costly. It may be less expensive for you than someone else in different circumstances. The following tables summarize the costs associated with my Hodgkin's. I have summarized my out of pocket expenses, the negotiated costs (what is actually paid to the providers), and the full cost (what the provider would bill a patient outside of a health plan).
